Profile

Prof. Aharonson-Daniel is a full p​rofessor in the School for Public Health within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of theNegev. She holds a BSc in statistics from Tel Aviv University and a PhD in Community Medicine from The University of Hong Kong. Her academic research focuses on Emergency Preparedness and response, Community Resilience, Injury Epidemiology and applied research methods. She has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, several book chapters and serves as an editor in professional journals.

She has supervised over 25 research students and continues to be scientifically active despite her administrative leadership roles as BGU’s Vice President for Global engagement (Since 2019). Limor is the founding director of the PREPARED Center for Emergency Response Research at BGU, active since 2011.
